Christmas Party Season with a Bump

Pregnant over the festive period?
Pregnancy style can be a challenge at the best of times but when it comes to evening wear it can be particularly challenging. Do you conceal your bump with a pretty loose dress or wear it with pride in form-fitting clothes?
So if you’re looking for a maternity occasion dress, what kind of style should you look for?
We have a few tips that may make it easier for you to choose.
The most important thing when looking to buy maternity occasion wear is that the dress should be comfortable and make you feel good. Secondly you may want to consider which areas you want to cover and which areas you want to flaunt! Some very lucky pregnant ladies are blessed and grow a perfect little bump and nothing else but we know that’s not the case for most of us. I grew a bump and other lumps as well!
If like me, during pregnancy your ankles no longer resemble what they used to then you may want to choose a long evening dress, but if you’re one of the lucky ones whose legs and ankles don’t swell, go on and flaunt it in a shorter length dress.
Figure-hugging dresses are perfect for you if you wish to flaunt your growing belly. In this case, look for stretchy fabric for optimum comfort.
A-line and empire evening dresses are very flattering for pregnant women if you’re looking for both style and comfort. The plus point about A-line and empire dresses are that the flowing skirt can be most forgiving around the hips and thighs, which is an area which I always wanted to cover myself.
Some of you may want to cover up your arms, if so then chose an evening dress with long or ¾ length sleeves. This will cover your arms well and the material will also ensure you’re not feeling too cold during these winter months. Alternatively, you could just add a bolero to a short sleeved dress.
